Excelsior Urban Forestry is now a Connecticut Licensed Arborist

We're proud to share a milestone that's been a long time in the making. Excelsior Urban Forestry has officially earned its Connecticut Arborist License. It's a credential we don't take lightly, and it represents our commitment to caring for your trees the right way.

Becoming a licensed arborist in Connecticut isn't a weekend course or a quick online quiz. The license is issued by the state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), and earning it means passing a series of examinations that test both book knowledge and real-world judgment.

Why This Matters for You

In Connecticut, state law requires a licensed arborist for anyone advertising, soliciting, or contracting to do arboriculture for hire such as pruning, trimming, bracing, cavity treatment, and protecting trees from insects and disease. Hiring a licensed arborist means you're working with someone the state recognizes as qualified to make decisions about the health and safety of your trees.

What's Next

Earning the license is a beginning, not a finish line. We'll continue investing in education and staying on top of the latest in tree care so we can keep raising the standard of service we offer across our community. Healthy, well-maintained trees make neighborhoods more beautiful, more valuable, and more livable.

If you've got a tree that needs attention — or you just want a professional opinion on the health of the trees on your property — we'd love to help.

Reach out to Excelsior Urban Forestry today to schedule a consultation with your newly licensed Connecticut arborist.
